Customize the theme

Boldbobbin ships with several light and dark themes; the default is Boldbobbin.

Switch theme​

Settings → Appearance & Units → Theme. Click a theme swatch (grouped under Light and Dark). The change previews live and commits when you click Save.

Make a custom theme​

  1. In the Theme section, click Customize… (or Edit theme… if a custom theme is already active) to open the theme editor.
  2. Give it a name and pick a Base theme to start from.
  3. Adjust colors, grouped into Canvas, UI chrome, and Overlays. Each changed color shows a reset button to return it to the base value.
  4. A live preview shows the chrome and a miniature canvas. The editor has its own Undo/Redo (Ctrl/Cmd+Z).
  5. Save theme.

Custom themes appear under a Custom group in the theme picker. To remove one, select it and use Delete.
