Design larger than the hoop

Boldbobbin warns when your design is bigger than the current hoop: for example on import: "⚠ The design is larger than the current hoop …" You can keep working, but you can't stitch it until it fits.

Fix it one of these ways:

  • Scale it down: select everything and reduce the size in the Properties panel (Width (mm) / Height (mm)).
  • Reposition it: use Center on hoop to recenter, or move it so it fits.
  • Use a bigger hoop: switch the Hoop dropdown to a larger one your machine supports. See Choose a hoop.

"This fill is too large"​

A dense or huge tatami fill can generate too many stitches. Boldbobbin stops with "This fill is too large (~N stitches). Make the shape smaller or increase its row spacing." Increase Row spacing (mm) or shrink the shape. See Fill an area.

"Couldn't regenerate some stitches"​

If a design gets very large, regeneration can fail: "Couldn't regenerate some stitches, the design may be too large. See the console for details." Simplify the design (fewer or smaller heavy fills) and try again.

Check before you export​
